This fairytale cabin, a mountain chalet in La Cerdaña, Spain was renovated and decorated for Christmas by interior design studio Space Stage. For Christmas, El Mueble stylist Olga Gil-Vernet infused a festive touch into this glamorous, yet minimalist home. The result’s a mixture of white and wool textures with pops of red.
The unique house was beautiful with views but very dark, with poorly varnished woods that made it outdated. The wood beams, doors, and furnishings were cleaned with a sand-blasting treatment. Several layers of stain were added until the designer achieved a light-weight oak tone. For the Christmas decorations, white and winter textures were a standard thread.
