Florida house is getting a surprising makeover with warm and welcoming interiors

Situated in Winter Park, Florida, Ashley Martin’s house beautifully redesigned her family mansion, showcasing interiors in a transitional style. In only over three months, the designer painstakingly transformed her 4,000-square-foot apartment, aiming to create a harmonious feel by mixing modern and traditional elements through a transitional aesthetic.

The predominant goal of the designer was to create shiny and airy living spaces while updating every detail. Not a single a part of the home has been left untouched, undergoing various transformations. Although the outside of the home has a really traditional aesthetic, the designer focused on bringing this style to the inside, leading to refreshed living spaces with a transitional style.

The home has a transitional aesthetic, combining a neutral color palette with subtle blue and wealthy green accents. To breathe warmth and depth, the designer has incorporated woven elements and wood tones into the interiors. Interestingly, areas akin to the kitchen, owner’s bathroom, family room and laundry room have undergone such significant transformations that they’re hardly recognizable as their original counterparts.

The kitchen was essentially the most extensive a part of this house renovation. For a more open layout, the designer made the daring decision to remove the wall separating the kitchen from the family room. This project turned out to be quite difficult, since it turned out that the wall served as a load-bearing structure. After mitigating this problem with several permits and a fancy construction process to stabilize the home after the wall was demolished, the designer was delighted with the result.
