Allard + Roberts interior design is chargeable for the renovation project of his contemporary home in North Asheville, North Carolina. This project originally began with the renovation of the kitchen and eventually expanded to the renovation of all three floors of this residence. The prevailing kitchen was dark, gray and dated.

The homeowner was inspired by one other kitchen design the designer had created and asked them to assist redesign it. The normal and artisanal kind of the present kitchen didn’t suit the brand new homeowner’s modern sensibilities or lifestyle needs. Proceed below to see the remaining of this sensational house tour…

What we love: This North Carolina home renovation provides a beautifully restored home with soaring ceilings, light-filled living spaces, and relaxing yet stylish entertainment furniture. We love the expansive views through the big windows and the completely refreshed kitchen, which perfectly suits the approach to life needs of the owners. Every detail has been chosen with comfort and sturdiness in mind.

The designers’ task was to create a contemporary high-contrast kitchen, ideal for hosting guests and watching the sport with family and friends. The kitchen was burned. Recent smaller soffits with horizontal tops with glass fronts have been added above the custom cabinets. Added all recent Wolf and Sub-Zero devices.

The kitchen floor is an existing oak floor that has been re-finished with Minwax Ebony stain. The cupboards were from Benbow Cabinetry in Asheville, North Carolina.

Above: The wet bar is positioned within the hallway just off the lounge. The width is roughly 48-52″ wide. The Sub Zero unit was purchased by Ferguson Kitchen & Bath in Asheville, NC. The cupboards were supplied by Benbow Cabinetry of Asheville, North Carolina.

The TV next to the fridge can now be watched from the island or from the breakfast area because the family likes to look at football games together over a meal. Downdraft was used instead of the hood to offer good visibility to the TV and from the cooking area through the windows to the view.

The brand new kitchen is now used for family gatherings and more formal parties and is perfectly suited to the owner’s tastes.
