The Minimalist Quoin Hotel Opens in Old Delaware Bank

The Quoin is a minimalist boutique hotel positioned in Wilmington, Delaware, designed by Method Co, in collaboration with Philadelphia-based Stokes Architecture + Design. Taking inspiration from the region’s aesthetic while incorporating modern, handmade decor and a subdued, earthy color palette, the property features 24 luxury guest rooms and suites that mix restored, original architectural details and vintage furnishings.

Upon arriving, guests are welcomed by a reception area featuring intricate floral wallpaper outlined in metallic gold and a custom-made credenza in contemporary hues and taupe mulled leather. To the left of reception is a retail area showcasing a collection of boutique brands. To the correct is an antique Malayer that leads into the adjoining lobby and cafe.

The lobby features Lawson-Fenning sofas, Lina swivel chairs, a hand-stitched leather Adnet-inspired Crillon chair, and a cotton shaded lamp by Santa & Cole. The restaurant is a neighborhood spot positioned within the lobby offering wood-fired fare inspired by the cuisine of Southern France and Northern Italy. The Rooftop at The Quoin is an ideal spot for completely happy hour, social gatherings, and lightweight fare.
